Sweetest Day!!! Part 3 "Brad Paisley & Dierks Bently Concert"

So a while ago I was hangin with Hailey and her mom, Lori and she was saying that Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley were coming in concert together, which is awesome because Hailey LOVES LOVES LOVES Brad Paisley :) And Lori LOVES Dierks Bentley. So she says "we have to go, do you want to come with us?" So I got to go to a sweet concert with 2 of my favorite people and we had a blast. We just had a way nice girls night out. We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then drove out to USANA for the concert. When we finally told Hailey where we were going she was so excited she wanted to call everyone to tell them the news. It was too cool!
I tried to get backstage passes for Hailey but no luck! So the picture below is as good as it gets to actually meeting him! Too bad! Can you tell Hailey doesn't really like to take pictures? :)

Jimmy Wayne opened for them and he was awesome and then Dierks Bentley was next! He was amazing! I love his music!

Brad Paisley was next! Of course he is good! He has only won like a million awards! :) It was fun to dance with Hailey to a live Brad Paisley song.

He had a lot of cool back grounds and themes to his songs. This one was a guitar hero theme and he had other famous singers pretending like they were playing his song on guitar hero, it was cute. (As you can see, one of them was Taylor Swift)
So the concert got done around 11 or later and I got home around 12:30! It was truly one of the sweetest days I've had in a long time! :)

Sweetest Day!!! Part 2 "The Cutest Kangaroo"

So I think everyone knows that my favorite animal has ALWAYS been a kangaroo! When I was like 11 and started my own email I called it kangachick because I love them soooo much! Well, today was my DREAM COME TRUE!!! I got to hold this beautiful 7 month old joey! :) I think my face in this picture says it all! It's saying "I cannot believe I am really here, holding a kangaroo! AHHHHH!!!!"
One of the assisted living facilities in SLC has that as a facility pet! So cool huh? So they brought it to the memory walk and made my dream come true! I was so happy!

Sweetest Day!!! Part 1 "Memory Walk"

September 19th, 09 was sweet! So listen to this crazy long and amazing day! I will try to make it short and sweet! First we woke up around 6am to go down to Murray to walk and show our support for the Alzheimer's Foundation. This is my team!

Bonus: Matt was so sweet to wake up that early and go with me!
Bonus: We got to meet the Jazz Bear!!!

Bonus: My BEST friend from BYU lives in Salt Lake and met me at the walk so that we could see each other and catch up a bit because it's been like 6 months! Tami is the sweetest girl and so fun loving! She truly helped me find tons of joy in going to classes! We had so much fun! We used to sit at the back of our first class and hurry and write our case studies for our legal aspects class and looking over at each others lap tops to see who had more done than the other because we were trying to go so fast! :) So fun! I love you Tami!

Trip to Cali :)

Labor Day weekend was awesome! Matt and I were actually able to take a couple of days off to go see Ryan and Shannon for a couple days. We got into Cali late on Wednesday night and got to chat and catch up a little bit before going to bed! Then on Thursday we went down to Malibu beach and just relaxed on the beach, played in the water, read a good book, laid out in the sun, enjoyed the day...etc!
Friday we stuck around town and did a little shopping and then in the evening we went to The Cheesecake Factory. It was Matt's first experience and he was not disappointed (neither were the rest of us).

Saturday was spent long boarding at Santa Monica and Venice Beach, swimming in the ocean, and perusing the pier:




I tried out the rings at the original Muscle Beach. I think I would have a good time going there on a regular basis! It was way fun!






































We ate dinner at In-N-Out (of course) and we checked out Universal City Walk (which was slightly disappointing. Who knew there could be so much hype about an outdoor mall? Made for flashy pictures, at least): -Shannon

Labor Day BBQ

We got together for a family dinner on Memorial Day and we got to play with our nieces and nephews! It was so cute because Gabe, our 3 year old nephew, called to ask if we could come over early to play in the water and on the slip-n-slide with them. And who can turn down a cute little 3 year old? So we went and had a ton of fun playing with them all! We always try to play something fun with them when we get together.

Notice Matt's ripped body! He's so hott!!! You know, I married him for his body AND MONEY!!!



This is right before I put him in a rear naked choke hold then into and arm bar... that's when he tapped out!!!




Other cute pics of our nephews! We got to spend a Friday night with Shelly, my sister, kids. We started off at Shauna's parents where we jumped on the trampoline and played on the swing. After that we went to Ogden Parkway. We through rocks in the river and played on the swings and slides. It was a lot of fun until Gabe lost his shoes in a puddle of mud. Don't worry we fished it out! Then we went to our house and wrestled and put together puzzles. It was a lot of fun! We sure do love them!
